Influenced by the entrepreneurial spirit of his grandfather Bob Dunsirn and father Duane Dunsirn, Troy has spent his entire business life in paper converting and manufacturing environments. His grandfather owned Mid-America Tag & Label; it was here Troy observed him leading a business and his father inventing unique engineering and manufacturing solutions. After Mid-America was sold, Duane started Dunsirn Industries, a contract slitting and converting business. Troy worked the Jennerjahn Rewinders at Dunsirn and gained hands-on experience while attending and earning a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Troy joined the Dunsirn team after college and created a new machine control interface software program that gained real-time machine monitoring, efficiency, and profitability increases at all of the Dunsirn manufacturing sites located around the USA. In 2001, Dunsirn Industries was sold to Avery Dennison.
In 2003, Troy left Avery Dennison and founded HawkPoint Technologies. He surrounds himself with an exceptionally talented team who share his passion for technology integration and data to help businesses achieve success. Whether it is HawkPoint’s software products or unmatched IT Services, Troy is dedicated to providing the best talent and solutions for all his customers.
Duane started his career at Mid-America Tag and Label, working side-by-side with Bob Dunsirn, his father. Duane’s “self-taught” engineering talents and inventiveness, earned Mid-America many patent rights and awards. In 1987, Duane started Dunsirn Industries, Inc. a slitting & rewinding, paper converting business. His distinctive operational leadership and ability to re-engineer the company’s state-of- the-art equipment grew the enterprise to a $70 Million company that was sold to Avery Dennison in 2001.
Now supporting the next generation of family entrepreneurs, Duane has partnered, with two of his sons, and their individual, respective companies – Troy at HawkPoint Technologies and Tom at Sunset Hill Stoneware. He provides mentoring, business leadership and engineering expertise that creates success for their teams and ultimately their customers.
Scott arrived at HawkPoint Technologies with more than 20 years of know-how in information technology. Since 2013, he has used his business experiences and creativity to transition underperforming IT environments into stable business processes that move customers forward. Scott enjoys helping customers maximize their potential by listening to their goals and then formulating a plan that fits the strategy they’ve designed together. His non-stop work ethic provides on-going guidance and support to customers – and his staff.
Jackie joined HawkPoint Technologies in 2009, managing all aspects of the organization’s software operations to meet customer objectives for growth and profitability. Internally, she is responsible for establishing new processes and practices to improve the team’s day-to- day tasks and work environment. Jackie intellectually shares her manufacturing knowledge and system software architecture with HawkPoint’s customer base while inspiring her staff to meet customer objectives and needs.
